Supported imports:
*please remove existing metadata that may be attached to clips like tags / ranges as this can cause an error (known as a DTD error) when roundtripping the transcript back to FCPX.

To export FCP X ranges/markers, you can import:

- FCP X events with projects → sequence → spine with asset-clip | clip | multicam clip | synced clip
- Asset clips
- Audio/video files
To export FCP X captions/titles, you can import:
- FCP X projects → sequence → spine with asset-clips | clips
- FCP X events → project → sequence → spine with asset-clips | clips
- Audio/video files
Multi-cam tips:
- Support enabled/disabled clips / files
- Support trimming a file's start time or duration
- MC Clips with a video angle: it will be trimmed/transcoded based on that video angle duration
- Do not support enabling/disabling tracks / channels within an individual clip itself
Sync Clips tips:
- Support enabled / disabled storyline / connected nodes
- Support trimming a file's start time or duration
- Sync Clip with video-enabled assets: it will be trimmed/transcoded based on the whole Sync Clip for that video-enabled asset's duration
- Do not currently support enabled/disabled track / channels / files within an individual clip itself
Compound Clips:
Support for from version 1.0.9 (ask support if you need access to download this version).
The Mac app supports a lot file formats and codecs but fewer than the website. If a file cannot be imported in the Mac app, try to import it to the Simon Says website.
