Larry Jordan: And welcome back. This is Larry Jordan. We're shifting gears out of audio and into keeping track of what you've gotten. That's becoming harder and harder every day we do more productions. Robert Kruger is the managing partner for Lesspain Software. And Robert, thanks for joining us today.

Robert Krüger: Thanks for having me back.

Larry Jordan: You know, you guys have created a wonderful program called Kyno but people may not have heard of what Kyno does. Can you describe it please?

Robert Krüger: Yeah. One way how I describe it often is that if you imagine someone had designed a tool like Find All Windows Explorer exactly targeted at video professionals. It's a media file browser that includes all the tools that you need between camera and edit, which we're definitely going to talk about today, and also distribution and delivery.

Larry Jordan: Kyno is more than just simply being able to find a file however. What more can we do inside it than simply locate a file?

Robert Krüger: I mean first of all, locating a file in a massive folder structure on a production drive is a big deal for a lot of our customers, but then you can do logging. We have an extensive metadata panel that lets you really, really quickly add markers, add metadata on location so you don't lose that information later in the production chain. You can transcode in a transcoder that includes all the features that you need but not the other one. So it's very, very easy to use, and lots of lots of other utilities that kill pain points, batch renaming. You have NLE integration with all of the big NLEs, so yeah.
