Larry Jordan: That is so cool. So that all the studio has to do is keep an eye on pirated versions and take the pirÔøΩ but that doesn't tell you who camcorded it. Does it?

Mark Nakano: No, it just tells you where it came from. So then they can take actions like maybe talking to the movie theatre chain, helping to beef up their security, giving them hints and tips on how to prevent this from happening but in the case of like screeners or just like I said in the pre-release workflow, they actually watermark either who gets it, like who the screener went to or which company they sent their product to go finish.

LJ: Well, I get tons of screeners in a world season, and they all have the warning that says this is watermarked and we will steal your children if you sell this. So the watermark is specific to the individual?

MN: Yes. It's easy the individual or sometimes if it's a press watermark, it'll just be to that company like some magazine or somebody that's reviewing the movie.
