Ginny Grove of Vinten | Interview snippets from NAB BuZZ 2018 podcasts with Larry Jordan
Larry Jordan: Let's start with the beginning. What's a four track system.
Ginny Grove: So that's a robotic pedestal on a track or dolly on a track effectively. So, where we have the free range moving robotic pedestals they'll go anywhere around this flow, the track system or it just follows the tracks you've got all the running along there. So we have the flow track. Skim flow track, in this NAB we've introduced the sealing trap as well.
LJ: Which is like a floor track except the camera's hanging.
GG: Exactly it's hanging. So it just frees up space on the studio floor, gives it a new kind of creative look till production is well.
LJ: OK, and the sealing track is the track that it runs on the device that attaches to the ceiling and the thing that moves?
GG: So, the track attaches to standard 300 New Pro and then the dolly runs along that track. And then that's integrated with a HDVRC control system. So you can control the track so that dolly on the track or you could be controlling the pedestals. All events in this robotic equipment can be controlled from the HDVRC.
