Larry Jordan: It sounds to me from what you're saying that Western Digital should be considered as much more than just a storage company. It really has both the hardware and the software where they can provide a complete solution as opposed to just buy a hard disk or buy a flash drive from.

Erik Weaver: Yeah, we're certainly working towards moving up the stack, basically, and becoming more than just simply a drive manufacturer.

LJ: Is the only place to go for advice the web or do you have other people we can talk to? How does that work?

EW: We actually have a whole staff of people that are just solution architects, that go and talk about your problem. But there's a lot of other stuff. You go out there, just google something online about object storage and what you might want to know. I don't want to make it only us that we're talking about but, yes please, take a look around.
