Larry Jordan: Welcome back. We're talking with Brenda Klemme. She is the CEO of K-Tek. Now, we had a chance to talk to the folks at K-Tek product manager at NAB last year. This time, they sent the CEO. I'm really delighted, Brenda, to meet you. Welcome.

Brenda Klemme: Thank you. I'm really happy to be here.

Larry Jordan: What got you attracted to K-Tek?

Brenda Klemme: K-Tek is a family business. So we've been around almost 25 years. My father started the business. He used to work with Nagra many years ago, and I grew up in the business. So I grew up in the industry. I have been hanging out with the sound department my entire life, and I have to say I actually love the sound department. They're the best and I think that they're underrated. I think they're the unsung heroes, and so it is my mission to make them the best, most functional, most beautiful products that I can.

Larry Jordan:Which gets me to how would you describe what products K-Tek makes?

Brenda Klemme: Well, we're famous for our boom poles. We've been making the boom poles since 1996. We won an Academy Technical Achievement Award for our boom pole design, and we've been making it ever since.
