Go to the Adobe Exchange and install the free Simon Says Extension – it’s compatible with both PC and Mac. Then launch Premiere Pro and navigate to ‘Window > Extensions > Simon Says’. Click on ‘Get Started’ in the extension panel and log in.
Select the video/audio clips in your project bin, click on ‘+’, and then ‘Import’. Make sure all footage dialogue is in the same language, if applicable to your video. Next, select the language of your project and click ‘Transcribe’. The transcript will be ready in a few minutes.
Join, split, and edit lines as needed. Add metadata, such as speaker labels, notes, and bookmarks. If you are working with foreign language clips, you can export for translations (we support 100+ languages). Simon Says will automatically sync timecodes for you.
Finally, export and select ‘Adobe XML Markers’. The markers will automatically be sent to your project bin, ready for you to review and edit.
