Step 1: VirtualBox Installation

Oracle VM VirtualBox, a free software virtualization tool, empowers you to create and manage multiple virtual machines. The purpose of this section is to get VirtualBox up and run on your machine.

This step is easy to be done, just install VirtualBox just like any other softwares :)

Supported platform: Windows, MacOS, Linux

Download link: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads

After successfully installing VirtualBox, you can turn it on and you will have an interface looks like this:

Step 2: AI Installation (Import AI into VirtualBox)

This step is quite straight forward, Simon Says’ Support Team will provide you an ova file and you will import it to VirtualBox.

Import OVA
1. In VirtualBox interface, at the top left corner (For MacOS: top left corner of your screen), click File and select Import Applicance

2. At the File input, click then navigate to OVA file and select it

3. Finally, click Finish button, it may take a while to finish importing.

Run OVA
1. On the left side bar, select the appliance which we just imported.
2. On the right side, you will see a big green “Start” button, click that.

It will take a few minutes to finish booting up.
If there is an error, observe the error message and see how it can be resolved. Usually it’s just about missing package, you can check its log file and see what’s missing.

If it’s running, it will show a black screen starts with “Welcome….” text, the current version of OVA file (example: 4.2.0) and three IP addresses (You need the first IP address, make sure to remember this IP). You can now move to next step.
