Larry Jordan: Well in order for me to be able to access your system, does that mean I've got to install a driver on my client computer?

James Mckenna: That's true. There is a piece of software that's on every client computer and we're trying to limit the downside of that as much as possible in the version 7 1 that we just shipped, we in fact have a remote install for all the clients. So from the server, I can select any or all clients and upgrade them with the upgrade package from the remote locationÔøΩ from the server itself or from the admin console on any browser attached to the IP address.

LJ: Now, I'm I using Facilis hardware along with Facilis software and, I mean clearly drives are made by like three companies. So I assume you're using drives from one of the typical vendors and what you're doing is providing an enclosure that drives work in and the operating system for the drives to access data? Or is that a misunderstanding?

JM: From the low end, we're doing everything from virtualizing the blocks on the drive themselves so they're not exposed to the individual drives anymore by the time we're done with them. The process of virtualization is remapping of all the blocks. So we present the end user with a pool of storage from which they can pull individual virtual volumes in a project-based workflow.
